Description
The FRSVMB is a Digital Distributed Intelligence wireless sounder and VAD base. It is the ‘next generation’ in wireless technology. The Wireless Sounder Base incorporates an AS ISO 7240-23 compliant VAD to provide a combined audible and visual alert in the event of a fire. It is a high-performance device that can be used as a stand-alone notification device (with a blanking cap) or as a combined detection and alarm device when fitted with an integral Fusion optical, heat or multi detector. The FRBSB unit has as standard 32+32 recognised sounder tones (main and alternative) and 4 levels of volume adjustment, as well as high/low power VAD settings, all of which can be easily configured on site. With a unique approach to programming and configuration software, the devices are learnt into the system and addressed by simply holding the device’s QR code near the camera on your laptop, it then appears on the screen and is ready for programming. Powered by 2 CR123A batteries (1 primary and 1 secondary) the device has an impressive 5-year battery lifespan (including weekly test). Once the primary battery has reached the end of its life a maintenance warning is sent to the CIE and the secondary battery continues to power the device for typically 3 months. It is specifically designed for the Fusion DDI protocol.
