Wireless-FRMEC Conventional Interface Expander
The FRMEC Wireless ‘Next Generation’ Conventional Expander Module has been designed to allow the integration of wireless detection and alarm type field devices into almost any type of system.
Regardless of whether the system is addressable or conventional the unit can be simply connected to a conventional zone or sounder circuit, directly or via loop modules.
The wireless field devices connect to the system as non-addressable devices, but still utilise the same technology as Fusion Digital Distributed Intelligence wireless devices and are fully monitored for alarm and fault, ensuring the highest levels of life safety and reliability are maintained.
The expander can link up to 127 DDI wireless field devices of any type. The system offers extremely flexible design configurations with the capability of up to 16 expanders for range enhancement. With this level of flexibility it is extremely unlikely distance would compromise system design requirements.
All wireless communications incorporate multi-path redundancy for spurious RF noise rejection and maximum link reliability.
The translator allows seamless integration of the wireless devices alongside standard wired devices.
Using cutting-edge wireless technology and a proprietary orthogonal antenna design it ensures the highest levels of life safety and system reliability in accordance with the latest AS1670.1 2018 requirements and AS ISO 7240.25.
